Our Story: We are for you!!!

Back in 2010, Chef Aaron Young was brainstorming names for a food service business. During a late-night Google session, he typed in the word "ChefauChef"—and to his surprise, nothing came up. That was the moment he knew he had found something truly original.

In 2012, ChefauChef officially became an LLC, and Chef Aaron took the leap of faith to pursue catering full-time.

Then & Now: A Journey of Growth

2012:

  • 1 full-time employee (just Chef Aaron!)

  • 1 fraternity Greek house food program

  • 1 wedding booked

  • 10 catered events in the first year

Going into 2026:

  • A dedicated team of 20+ employees and on-call service staff

  • Over 70 weddings catered to EACH YEAR

  • Multiple Greek house partnerships

  • Catering 1,000+ events annually across Lincoln and beyond

  • Grand completion of ChefauChef’s new 2,700-square-foot kitchen and Wham Bam Meal in a Pan drive-thru location at 2111 N. 86th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska (68505).

Since day one, ChefauChef has been 100% locally owned and operated by Chef Aaron, with no outside investors. His mission remains simple: serve great food, provide for the team, and give back to the community.

Meet Chef Aaron

Chef Aaron lives in Lincoln, NE, with his wife Dani (married in 2012), their three kids—Caleb, Bethany, and Eve—and their beloved pets, Gio the dog and Frank the cat.

  • Graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School (2006)

  • Completed a Disney Culinary Internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL (Fall 2007)

  • Earned a Culinary Arts Associates Degree from Southeast Community College (Srping 2009)
